Old Mill secures team’s eighth wrestling title

COLLEGE PARK – Right after Northeast High School junior Maurice Flemming put the finishing touches on a perfect season with an 18-7 victory over La Plata’s Tanner Schaffer in the 140-pound final, he was greeted with an overwhelming congratulatory response from the Old Mill wrestlers.

Not only were the Patriots showing good sportsmanship for their fellow county competitor, but they also knew that Flemming’s victory over a La Plata finalist would be enough to clinch the team title for Old Mill.
