The Broadneck High School boys soccer team surrendered all of two goals this season against county competition. It took Severna Park a little more than 25 minutes last night to net three goals against the previously undefeated Bruins.

From there, the Falcons' defense held off Broadneck's second-half surge and walked off a rain-soaked field at Chesapeake High School with a 3-2 county championship victory. It was the first title for the Falcons (12-3) since 1998 and their third overall. The victory also made up for a 1-0 loss to the Bruins (13-1-1) on Oct. 4 - Severna Park's only public-school setback.
