Annapolis' Smooth, South River's Lee surge to county titlesPublished 10/30/07
Four years ago Christian Smooth was hit by a car as he crossed Forest Drive and suffered several broken bones in his legs and shoulder. His mother had tears in her eyes yesterday when she recounted the events of that terrible day. Although she talked about the possibility back then of her son losing one of his legs, she was shedding tears of joy moments after Christian crossed the finish line to win the Anne Arundel County boys cross country championship.
