Arundel, Broadneck stride into region final : 4A football foes on familiar turfPublished 11/22/07
Two months ago, the Arundel and Broadneck High School football teams kicked off the season on a warm, balmy night at Carroll Field in Gambrills. For one of those county powerhouses, its season will also end there tomorrow. The top-seeded Wildcats (11-0) host the second-seeded Bruins (9-2) in the Class 4A East Region championship. Broadneck knocked off visiting Old Mill in the semifinals last week, 24-13, and will be aiming for its fourth region title in five years. Arundel has advanced to the postseason five straight years but its 34-29 squeaker over North County last week was only the second playoff win for the Wildcats...
