Quince Orchard High School football coach Dave Mencarini said some of his players were in awe when they gathered during lunch yesterday to watch film on Arundel, their upcoming state championship opponent.
Mencarini just yawned, but not in a cocky way. "(Arundel) is pretty amazing," the Montgomery County school's fourth-year coach said. "It was the first time our guys had seen them on film. Watching them play is what makes coaching enjoyable for me. But I'll tell you what, I didn't get any sleep over the weekend thinking about them."
