Champ's enthusiasm contagious in pool
Charlie Melesh played just about every sport there was to play throughout the year when he was a youngster. Basketball, lacrosse and soccer got their due, and the now-sophomore at Annapolis High even took Karate lessons for a while. But in the summer of his 10th year, Melesh found a new sport, and it quickly put all the others in the dust. "We moved into a new community and made friends at the local pool right about when the swim season was starting up," Melesh said. "They got us involved on that team, then the Naval Academy Aquatic Club, and I pretty much dropped everything else...
