Spalding's Nairn earns soccer awardPublished 02/06/08
Christine Nairn wrapped up her Archbishop Spalding soccer career by winning her second consecutive Gatorade Maryland Girls Soccer Player of the Year award.
Nairn, a center midfielder who will play at Penn State in the fall, scored 27 goals and collected 13 assists to lead the Cavaliers to an 18-2-1 finish.
Nairn is the Cavaliers' all-time leader in scoring with 70 goals and 37 assists. Last season, she recorded three hat tricks and scored at least two goals in eight games - a year after leading Archbishop Spalding to its first Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland A Conference...
