Indoor Track: Mustangs cruise to region control

Meade High School track coach Nigel Holder views his boys and girls teams' quests for a county, region and state championship akin to a horse's quest for the Triple Crown.

In the aftermath of yesterday's sweep of the 3A Central Region championships, the likeness of his athletes to thoroughbreds may not be that far off.

The boys squad cruised to victory, outscoring the runner-up Annapolis 121-50, while the girls team held off a valiant Annapolis team, 81-72, at the Prince George's Sports and Learning Center in Landover.
