Glen Burnie coach gets mandatory suspensionPublished 02/22/08
Glen Burnie girls basketball coach Dan Mangum received a one-game suspension, as per county policy, for receiving two technical fouls in the second quarter of Tuesday night's game against Southern.
His ejection forced Glen Burnie, which was playing on its Senior Night, to forfeit the game because the Gophers did not have a contracted assistant coach to take over.
Junior varsity coach Ashley Bonine, who is the only other contracted coach with the girls basketball program, had a prior engagement and was not at Tuesday's game. Bonine will coach the Glen Burnie varsity when it plays its next game, a make up contest against...
