Yesterday's 3A state track and field championships yielded a typical result after an atypical series of events.

Meade High School's Anya Uzoh clears the bar with room to spare during the Indoor Track State Championships Monday night. Despite only having one individual winner, the Meade High School boys squad put its depth on display and captured its coveted indoor state title, outscoring second-place Westlake 70-51. The constant throughout the Mustangs rampage through the county, region and state championships was the senior quartet of Anya Uzoh, Justin Murdock, Dahmar Smiles and Matthew Brinkley.
