BALTIMORE - The defending state champion Severna Park boys lacrosse team is used to being the aggressor and taking away their opponents' top weapons.
Yesterday afternoon the tables were turned. DeMatha jumped out to a 5-1 first quarter lead and used a suffocating defense throughout to frustrate the Falcons and defeat them like clockwork, 9-5, as part of the High School Lacrosse Showdown at Johns Hopkins' Homewood Field.
