Severna Park's Ramsay reaches final tryout slot for U-16 Team USA

Alex Ramsay has always worked hard to cultivate his baseball talent.

Now the Severna Park catcher will be able to see if that talent stacks up against the rest of the country.

Ramsay emerged from last week's Under-16 national championships in Jupiter, Fla., as one of the final 36 players being considered for the U-16 Team USA.

"It's every player's goal to be chosen for the Top 36," Ramsay said. "It's exciting to know that I can call myself one of the so-called elite 16-year-olds in the country."
