Prep football coaches are ready to start anew as practice begins Saturday marked the opening of fall practices for public schools. For Severna Park football coach J.P. Hines, it was Christmas. At 5:30 a.m., Hines sent out a text message that read: "MERRY CHRISTMAS 2008." And, in the middle of his first two-a-day workout, he bounced around his office like a 5-year-old overwhelmed by a mountain of gifts under the tree. Broadneck football coach Jeff Herrick said nearly 150 players came out to Broadneck's first practice, and they're fighting to fill approximately 109 spots - 56 on varsity and 53 on junior...
