The first game at the newly-dedicated William P. Wentworth Stadium at North County High School was one for the ages, as the host Knights rallied for 16 unanswered points to earn a 28-20 win over Meade last night in overtime.
Tailback Dino Stevens was the catalyst, scoring both of North County's touchdowns after halftime and adding the 2-point conversion to both drives.
In overtime, Stevens went up the middle on three straight plays, gaining seven yards on first down, then scoring with the second and adding the 2-point conversion with run No. 3.
