Junior guard Brandon Belt scored 18 points and grabbed seven rebounds to help earn the host Southern boys basketball team capture the Colonial Electric Classic championship with a 57-35 victory over Oakton (Va). Lawrence Jenkins chipped in with 17 points and 10 rebounds for Southern, and senior Andrew Bishop added nine points in the win. "We played very strong defense," Bulldogs coach Ray Bowen said.
