Prep Girls Basketball: Lawrence leads South River to triumphPublished 01/07/09
Senior guard Amanda Lawrence had 16 points, and freshman guard Dominique Hagins added 12 as South River got past Glen Burnie, 63-49, for its third girls basketball victory last night. Senior center Amanda Scott and freshman guard Aleeyah Hopkins each had nine points for South River. Senior forward La'Bree Williams led all scorers with 23 points for the Gophers. Sophomore forward Denver Clyde added 10 points for Glen Burnie, and senior guard Azure Johnson grabbed seven rebounds.
