Prep Wrestling Roundup: Broadneck's Zemanski sets career victory recordPublished 02/04/09
Houston Zemanski became Broadneck's all-time wrestling caeer wins leader with a second-period pin over Chesapeake's Steven Spinnenweber for his 107th victory in the Bruins' 60-19 victory yesterday. Zemanski (21-2), a fourth-place finisher at 112 last year, is 107-24 in his career and is the favorite for a county title at 119. He wrestled up a class to pin Spinnenweber. "He's a good leader in the room," Bruins coach Scott Harrell said. "He's a great captain. He's the kid we look at to spark things."
