In its last year before becoming a 4A school again, Meade repeated its region title sweep, as the boys coasted to a Central Region crown and the girls tied Hereford at the 5th Regiment Armory yesterday.
The boys obliterated the competition, defeating second-place Milford Mill, 130-46. The girls drew even with Hereford, 83-83, on the strength of a come-from-behind victory in the final event, the 1,600-meter relay, anchored by junior Kiera Joyner.
