Husband-and-wife team to coach Eagles boys soccer teamPublished 06/23/09
Two local coaches who have enjoyed success off the field have hopes of putting the Northeast boys soccer team into contention to compete with Anne Arundel County rivals such as Severna Park and Broadneck.

Debbie Tanner, left, will be the assistant coach of the Northeast High boys soccer team while her husband, Sam, will be the head coach of the Eagles. Sam Tanner is a veteran coach with the St. Jane Soccer youth program as well as on the high school and junior college levels.Northeast finished last season with a 4-11 record, but the husband-wife duo of Sam and Debbie Tanner might is looking to turn that around.
