Chesapeake broke a three-game losing streak to Northeast and took control of the plaque last year with a win on the Eagles' home field. But Northeast regained control of it with a 19-3 victory last night in a game played on a soggy field and with rain falling most of the game.
Northeast's Kenny McDonald scored a pair of touchdowns, including one on a punt return to open the scoring in the first quarter.
"It's awesome," he said. "That's all we were looking forward to, and it's our highlight of the season."
