Genya Meharg tapped in a bouncing pass off a throw-in past Herd to guide Severna Park to a 1-0 victory over Chesapeake yesterday in a rematch of last year's county championship soccer game.
Erik Schuh and Meharg took advantage of a rare miscue by Chesapeake's defense and converted in the 19th minute.
"It just broke down one time," Herd said. "That's what happens."
