Gregg Houck and Jack Deckman helped put an end to the area's longest intra-county losing streak, a stretch that spanned nearly six years, by helping the Knights push aside Northeast, 2-0, in boys soccer last Tuesday.
North County (2-8-1) - which has taken 1-0 losses from Southern, Chesapeake and Arundel in three of its last five losses - beat an Anne Arundel County opponent for the first time since topping the Cougars, 1-0, on Oct. 14, 2003, a span of 62 games during which it posted an 0-61-1 mark.
