Thomas ended a futile 15 minutes and engineered a fast-paced attack to lead the Falcons a 5-0 victory over Dulaney yesterday in the Class 4A semifinals for a shot at their 19 state title.
"At the beginning, we weren't working well as a team. We weren't united," said Thomas, who etched two goals and two assists. "We just had a timeout, and we united as a team. We all got really pumped up, and we went out and started putting them in."
It worked almost immediately.
