Rogers beat goalkeeper Ariel Ross at the start of each half to provide South River enough cushion to hold onto a 3-2 victory over Arundel and claim the Class 4A East Region championship last night.
Tara Kavanaugh headed a pass to the center for Rogers, who dribbled around Sydney Keer on the right. Ross came out to the corner, and Rogers buried a crossing shot into the left side.
