Laite did her damage at the net, and Joy orchestrated Severna Park's big night in a 3-0 victory over South River yesterday in the Class 4A East Region semifinal.
"We came in here, and we could have been playing Broadneck or we could have been playing states," said Laite, who collected 13 kills, eight digs and five aces. "Because we came in with the right mentality, I don't think there was anything that could have stopped us today. We were all just really on."
