Patrick, a junior, and sophomores Jodie Clouser, Ashley Hayes and Michelle Nelson capped Severna Park's breakout season yesterday with a Class 4A state cross country championship.
"We placed third here last season," Falcons coach Ed Purpura said. "Since then, we've just built on that and continued getting better."
The Falcons defeated Thomas Johnson, 89-95, for their third state title in five seasons.
