Sheronne Vails and Talen Watson, the last of the Wildcats' Division I-bound core, are making their third straight trip into the Class 4A state playoffs and will try to avoid another missed title opportunity.
Three is also the number of state championships to which the Wildcats have been clinging since 2004.
"This is their final year," Arundel coach Lee Rogers said. "Not too many kids get a chance to come to the final four three times. Maybe once, but three times? It's a blessing to them, and they appreciate the fact they're there."
