Despite a game-high 25 points from Holley, including a paralyzing display early, the Patriots unfolded in the second half to become Springbrook's third consecutive victim in the Class 4A final, 74-67, yesterday.
"We didn't ever give up," Holley said. "Even when there was one minute left, we were down by three. We gave it our all."
Springbrook (25-1), which won its fifth championship and 62nd out of 63 games, became the first team to win three consecutive large school championships.
