Amid the gently rolling hills and cornfields of south county is Lothian. This is a place of fresh air, farms, horses grazing in green pastures and houses with lots of land. It's pastoral and idyllic.

It's also home to the Guida family - Bridgette, Bill and 2-year-old Joey.
"When people hear us say we live in Lothian, Maryland, they say, 'Lothian? Where is Lothian?' " Ms. Guida wrote in an e-mail requesting her home be considered for Home of the Week. "We are 3.5 miles from the Chesapeake Bay and about 25 miles from D.C."
Both originally from Connecticut, the couple grew up close to one...
