I put up some holiday lights outside on the front porch of my house but the outside plug is over near the garage so I ran the cord through a front window and plugged it into the outlet that is switched by the front door as you come in. Now I can turn them on or off with the switch and don't have to go outside to pull the plug. My neighbor, a know-it-all, says I should have used the outside plug anyway with an extension cord to the lights. He said the inside plug wasn't a GFCI. Does that matter? Find Us On Facebook
