Home of the Week: A look inside The Christmas House

In the weeks before Christmas, the designers were all stirring - an argyle nursery, a space bathed in color, an ice palace niche, a dining salon in orange yet inspired by green - all this plus a pedestal fit for a queen.

The Christmas house is open until the 21st of December; Tuesday-Friday 10:00 - 5:00, Saturday & Sunday 12:00 - 5:00 and closed on Mondays. Tickets - $20 at the door. Group tours available by appointment. For more information, visit www.springhillcfd.org.

The doors have opened yet again on the seasonal favorite known as The Christmas House, a decorators' show house located at the Springhill Center for Family Development in Crownsville. The nonprofit center, which provides a wide array of family-centric courses for all ages, is operated by the Legion of Christ, a Catholic religious congregation.
