After a few days of this ice and snow I noticed a wet spot on the ceiling near the front wall by a large picture window. I called the roofer who put the roof on three years ago and said I had a leak. He told me that it was from the snow melting and his roof job wasn't the fault. I don't understand. What's happening and what can I do?
I think it is his fault because he didn't roof against it. It's in the building code and most roofers around here don't know it. If they'd take a trip to the library, grab a code book and look at Section R905.2.7.1. Ice protection in the 2003 International Residential Code,...
