The beauty and tranquility of a wintry day on Fishing Creek can't be ignored.

It's a picturesque scene, reminiscent of a Robert Frost poem, complete with the icy creek and snow-covered landscape.

Welcome to Coast Guard Station Annapolis.

"The building was built in 1972, but the Coast Guard has had a presence here (in the area) since 1886," said Senior Chief Petty Officer Michael Sparks, the officer in charge of Coast Guard Station Annapolis.

The location of this small boat station in a residential area and on a quiet creek is one appreciated by Sparks.
