Photographer's love of cars develops into a second careerPublished 07/16/06
Some artists find their inspiration in nature, or in the human form. Jonathan Kendall has a different kind of muse. His imagination is fired by handmade hunks of metal capable of pumping out unbelievable power, and by the sleek, curvy lines of highly polished pieces of rolling art. The Edgewater resident takes photographs of exotic sports cars, especially Ferraris, but his pictures aren't the typical profile shots of an expensive red Italian coupe. Instead, he zooms in on parts of cars, like engines, for example. And he photographs them in such a way that almost everyone but a Ferrari mechanic or a knowledgeable owner...
