Bringing a furry friend home for the holidays?Published 12/27/07
John Strange has made a lot of memories in six years as Santa in West Severna Park, but his most memorable holiday visit turned out to be a pet project of sorts. Mr. Strange, dressed as jolly old St. Nick, delivered a golden retriever puppy to the Stine family.

Dr. Lisa Beagan of Mobile Pet Vet shows off her own pet, a black lab named Boozer, which she got at Christmas two years ago. Dr. Beagan, of Severna Park, only recommends getting a pet for the holidays if the whole family is involved, they’ve done some research and know what to expect.
"It really was great; my most memorable visit," Mr. Strange said recently. "The looks on those two children's faces - it was priceless. It gives me goose bumps right now as I talk about it."
