Annapolis tennis group Jaime Veracka, the founder of the 10-year old Annapolis Area Tennis School, is a passionate advocate of wheelchair tennis. Veracka is a certified tennis instructor who has worked with several wheelchair athletes over the last few years including Brenda Gilmore, a Prince George County tennis instructor and wheelchair player.
"I saw someone in wheelchair and asked him if he played sports, thinking in the back of my mind he might want to try wheelchair tennis," Veracka said. "We went out and not too far into the first lesson, he was hooked."
