Dog's World: On the trail of HaggisPublished 01/09/08
Hopefully you are as concerned as I am about the missing Scottish deerhound Haggis. Joanne Bast has been keeping me informed of the latest news, and I am happy to pass it on to you.
If you are not familiar with a Scottish deerhound and what he looks like, picture this: a very large dog, which looks like a rough coated shaggy greyhound. His height according to the AKC standard for the dog can be 30 to 32 inches at the withers and even taller if everything else lines up well. That is a BIG dog.
Fairly rare and one that people don't see running free very often. Haggis, as you may remember, was one of two dogs...
