The sleek rowing machines looked a little out of place in the 100-year-old gym at St. John's College, but it didn't seem to bother the athletes gathered for an early-morning rowing competition. In fact, most of them still had their eyes closed, so I doubt they were even 100 percent sure where they were. Find Us On Facebook
Eventually, though, the gym was filled with the sound of whirring ergometers, and coaches and coxswains (don't try to tell me coxswain isn't the best word EVER) offering encouragement to the young rowers.
