I determined early in the year that my cooking hands would do what my writing fingers so frequently recommend: turn to locally grown foods, especially fruits and vegetables, whenever possible.

Though lemons obviously don’t fall into the local produce category, this lemon sorbet is another flavorful way to chill out while the weather stays warm.I wasn't sure how I would manage this commitment given a toddler and a riotous second pregnancy, but I was determined.
