Genealogy class helps families connect with their ancestorsPublished 09/12/08
Judith Cabral's interest in genealogy was sparked when she was a teenager growing up in Annapolis and her great-grandmother started giving her the family heirlooms. Now, she has traced one side of her family all the way back to 13th-century England and France and is helping others start their own journeys into the past through the Kunta Kinte-Alex Haley Foundation's genealogy classes. "One of our missions is to help people find their family heritage," she said. "We've found that there's a strong interest in genealogy."
