A: Yes, Medicare has released that information, which includes good news for beneficiaries. The 2009 Medicare Part B monthly premium will be the same as the premium cost for 2008, which is $96.40. This premium covers approximately one-fourth of the average cost of Part B services incurred by beneficiaries who are 65 and older. The remaining costs are covered by federal general revenues.
