Achieving Happiness: Drugs may not be best depression treatmentPublished 11/09/08
We've all seen advertisements for antidepressant medications on TV. They sure make it appear that taking those prescriptions will work miracles by making depressed people happy again. However, two major reviews of the research published this year have raised serious doubts about whether antidepressant drugs are any more effective than taking a sugar pill for the vast majority of people who suffer from depression.
