My Time: County Fire Department collects coats for kids

The campaign, a partnership between the Department of Social Services and the fire department, sought donations of gently used and new coats. At the conclusion of the drive, more than 100 winter coats for children in need were collected.

In addition to public donations of gently used and new coats, hats, scarves and gloves, monetary donations from the Anne Arundel County Volunteer Firefighters Association and the Anne Arundel County Professional Firefighters Local 1563 were used to purchase additional coats.
