My Time: Astronaut Bowen visits St. Martin's school

On Feb. 13, St. Martin's-in-the-Field Day School in Severna Park was honored to have Capt. Stephen Bowen, a NASA astronaut, visit the school to share his experiences working on the International Space Station.

Bowen was on the spaceship Endeavor in November 2008 as a mission specialist assigned technical duties. He spent more than two weeks in space working to expand the space stations current living quarters by delivering a new bathroom, kitchenette, two bedrooms, an exercise machine and a water recycling system.
