Dance troupe hopes free outdoor concert entertains, informs

Megan Morse Jans caught the dancing bug at college, and now her professional company is getting ready to spread its wings at a free, outdoor concert in Annapolis.

DragonFly Dance Experiment will perform a free outdoor concert in Annapolis at City Dock June 14 at 1 p.m. This is a preview with some of the dancers as well as a glimpse at the tentative schedule of events. See related story.

Jans is the co-founder of DragonFly Dance Experiment, a troupe that blends modern dance, aerial dance and multimedia presentations. Its "Dock Side Dance" event will take place June 14 at Campbell Park Stage at City Dock in Annapolis.

"I recognize that these are tough times for everyone," said Jans, who lives in the city and teaches dance at Anne Arundel Community College. "And I feel like this is an opportunity to give back to the community...
