Military provides good training for some authorsPublished 06/28/09
When Geri Krotow was still serving in the Navy in the mid-1990s, a colleague asked her what her dream job would be. After thinking about it for a long time, Krotow said she'd like to be a writer. "I guess I have an artist's soul, but it took me a long time to realize it was OK," she said. Fast forward to today, and the 1986 Naval Academy graduate has two novels under her belt and a third slated to be published next year. She said her military training helped make it possible.
