Unique museum focuses on urology

Paul W. Gillespie — The Capital Dr. Rainer Engel, curator of the William P. Didusch Center for Urologic History in Linthicum, poses with surgical instruments from the 1700s used to remove bladder stones and an exam table from the 1940s. The museum, located within the headquarters of the American Urological Association, features a wide-range of displays on medical history. Its newest exhibit, “Recipes and Remedies” focuses on the evolution of pharmaceuticals.
Curator Dr. Rainer Engel, MD takes us on a tour of the William P. Didusch Center for Urologic History located in Linthicum. The museum recently opened a new exhibit called Remedies and Recipes. Well, a unique exhibit at an equally unique museum sheds some light on subjects such as these.

"Remedies and Recipes," which focuses on the history of pharmaceuticals and the pharmacy, opened last month at the William P. Didusch Center for Urologic History in Linthicum and runs until the end of year.
