The sky's the limit for Dr. H. Logan Holtgrewe, at least when it comes to model building.

Dr. H. Logan Holtgrewe has spent the past few years building models of World War I aircraft, like this 1918 Curtiss H-16 Flying Boat, from scratch. His more than 400 World War II models are already on display at a Seattle aviation museum, and he plans on donating his WWI collection to the facility once it’s completed.Dr. Holtgrewe builds model airplanes. After spending seven years crafting one of the most complete collections of World War II aircraft models and then shipping it off to a Seattle museum, the Severna Park resident tackled an even bigger challenge: World War I aircraft. Unlike their more modern counterparts, these models are almost all built from scratch, beginning life as nothing more than a sheet of plain, white plastic.
