Approximately 60 soldiers from the Maryland Army National Guard's 224th Area Support Medical Company, who recently returned from an eight-month deployment to Iraq, were honored in a formal ceremony known as a "Freedom Salute" hosted by Brig. Gen. James A. Adkins, the adjutant general for Maryland, and other government officials at the Adelphi Laboratory Center.
