Edgewater girl pens inspirational book 'Moonlight Memoirs'Published 10/15/09
Maggie Mei Lewis used writing as a way to comfort herself after the loss of a beloved pet.
Shannon Lee Zirkle — The Capital Maggie Mei Lewis, 15, of Edgewater, recently published her first book, “Moonlight Memoirs: Remembering That Friends and Family Are Forever.” Maggie started the book when she was 12 and trying to get over the loss of her beloved pet mouse, Blackie. But she soon realized what she recorded with pen and paper might help others as well. So, the Edgewater teen published a book. "I think I started writing it for myself, then I wanted to share," explained Maggie, 15. "Moonlight Memoirs: Remembering That Family and Friends Are Forever," was released in late August.
